SS20 Collection DetailsBrandon Maxwell’s Spring Summer 2020 collection, the brand's largest to date, included its menswear launch with ten distinct looks. Sporty silhouettes were exemplified by oversized cuffs and collars. Silky button-downs, waist clinching belts, and tailored blazers brought polished definition. Flask, cigarette, and mini champagne bags with lock closures shift desire from novelty to necessity. The jewelry, in collaboration with Kenneth Jay Lane, featured colored stone earrings and oversized rings adorned with ladybug and owl motifs.
Metallic raffia fabrics were used across statement tops, dresses, skirts, and accessories. Pouch bags were styled to match ensembles for a moment of shining reverie in the show's celebration of Americana.
Handbags, first introduced in SS18, continued to evolve in function. For SS20, duffle bags, worn by both men and women, were made of soft leather and gold or silver hardware featuring the brand's signature combination lock. The bags could be worn over the shoulder by a long strap or held directly by shorter handles.
