With the backdrop of this iconic American landmark, Brandon Maxwell explored his own relationship with classic American sportswear. He walked tortoise liquid gazaar dresses and skirts, bugle bead bralettes and pants, fluid chiffon gowns in red and green, luxe tailored suiting outfitted with plush cashmere coats embroidered by Texas-based Ft. Lonesome. The offering spanned plaid suiting with high heel riding boots to classic, structured off-the-shoulder cocktail dresses and evening wear. The earth tone palate played on rich creams, oatmeal, olive, and brown, with pops of electric lime, red and pink. Jewelry in collaboration with Kenneth Jay Lane polished off the looks. The menswear expanded into traditional suiting reinterpreted in sporty ways, such as a plaid brown double-breasted bomber with raw denim jeans and an alpaca topcoat. An army green flight suit with coordinating trench rounded out the selection of fresh, modern menswear.
