The Fall 2017 campaign was co-directed and photographed by Brandon with long-time creative partner Jessy Price. The cast consisted of Brandon Maxwell runway show alumni, Joan Smalls, Romee Strijd, Maria Borges, Andreea Diaconu, Charlee Fraser, and Lameka Fox. These women share their personal stories of breaking free from the constraints of the industry and how they have grown into strong, independent, fearless women.

“Creating the campaigns and the imagery is always such a deeply personal and joyous experience, it allows me to step out of the design process and to collaborate with a new group of people and see the clothes in a different way from runway.”

The Penthouse at One Hundred Barclay – one of the largest residential properties available in Manhattan atop the 33-story Art Deco building designed by famed architect Ralph Walker – provided the perfect setting to narrate their stories.

The women presented are paramount during the creation of each collection, and their thoughts, creativity, and energy are highlighted in the FW17 campaign.

“The clothes are meant to enhance a woman’s personality, goals, talents, and desires, never to outshine her. It’s important to hear her story and to understand that she is more than just what she may seem on the runway.”
