On Saturday, February 8th, 2020 the Fall-Winter 2020 collection debuted at the American
Museum of Natural History. With the backdrop of this iconic American landmark, Brandon Maxwell explored his own relationship with classic American sportswear: tortoise liquid gazaar dresses and skirts, bugle bead bralettes and pants, fluid chiffon gowns in red and green, luxe tailored suiting outfitted with plush cashmere coats. The earth tone palate played on rich creams, oatmeal, olive, and brown, with pops of electric lime, red and pink. The menswear expanded into traditional suiting reinterpreted in sporty ways, such as plaid brown double-breasted bomber with raw denim jeans and an alpaca topcoat.
